Verhalten malziger Duft. Moderat malziger Start. Danach aromatisch-röstiger, erbaulich. Allerdings verebben diese Aromen bald in wässrigen Einflüssen. Erst im Ausklang kann sich die Malzigkeit wieder steigern.

Clear medium to dark amber - red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark bread, light to moderate roasted, caramel, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110307]

Draught at Restaurant Alt Usseln, Germany. Dark beer, with off-white head. Easy going beer, with a little bit of a bland taste. Not really my kind of beer I suppose.

From tap at Zeitgeist. Pours hazy dark brown with a creamy and off-white head. Light acidic to citric aroma. Flavour is mild roasted. Light acidic flavour. Light infected too. Mild roasted and citric into the finish. Surprised how many beers at this small festival was off - sad.

Cask at the german bar in London, with Ang and bro. Alround rating: Excellent carbonation, caramel, balanced and very tasty.

Bottle. Some notes of wholemeal bread on first taste. Lightly sweet and sticky. Finish shows some light grassy hops, lightly bitter. Quite clean.

Tap - Sweet dark malt aroma - hints of molasses. Dark brown color with creamy head. Very smooth chocolate malt flavor - very little bitterness and full palate. A truly unique Landbier - I’ve never had a dunkel landbier before - a very good and different beer.
