TheOrange (340), Kent, Ohio, USA Dec 27, 2005 Very little aroma, almost none acutally. The color was very clear golden amber. The head was thin and gone soon after it was done being poured. I didn’t have high hopes for this beer. However, the flavor was surprisingly unique and bold. The nose was a good bold hoppy taste. The taste grew more complex with the tastes of some spices, mostly clove I think. then the finish was quick, and clean. A very good beer. bkelley68 (468), Lakewood, Ohio, USA May 8, 2005 Notes from sometime in January: Clear golden color, no head (thanks to the rookie bartender). Clean classic pilsner aromas of Saaz hops and doughy malt. Bready malty flavors with spicy hops. Crispy finish. Probably one of the better beers I’ve had at Willoughby Dogbrick (2209), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 21, 2005 On draught at 69 Taps in Akron. Clear golden color and rather bubbly with a medium white head. Thin lacing. The aroma is lightly floral hops. Light-bodied and effervescent with a somewhat spiced hops flavor. Very little malt to balance. The finish is faintly bitter but lasting. A pretty good take on the style.
