Cask (gravity dispense) at Elysian Beer Festival on 11 January 2013. Pale gold colour. Scant head. Moderate condition. Pleasant floral and herbal hop character throughout. Very tangy with a lingering citrus twist on the finish. Another very solid blonde from Wilson Potter.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask @ Jubilee Refreshment Rooms, Sowerby Bridge. Golden with a creamy head. Has a bushy floral aroma with some sweetness. Its taste is similar and rugged in the palate with a medium bitterness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask conditioned at Minehead Beer Fest ’13. Gold with white head. This proved to be quite a flowery beer with a drying note, leafy bitterness, but then comes a honeyed sweetness late on. Reasonable enough.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at North Birmingham Beer Festival; hazy amber pour with flimsy white head, sweet malt aroma, slightly zesty citrus taste a bit of grapefruit, quite bitter for a blonde

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask conditioned gravity dispense Elysian Winter Beer Festival 2013 12/01/13. A golden to orange coloured beer with an off-white head. Citrussy sharp with pale malts. Lots of grapefruit. Tends towards being a bit sickly in the mouth. Becomes tropical fruity later on. I liked this for the most part but it did have issues.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask @ Lion Tavern, Liverpool 030113
Light straw, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - Citrus hops, fresh hops, some resinous, light pale malts, grapefruit
Taste as aroma, nice fresh sweet grapefruit hops, pale sweet malts, slight hint of custard powder
Palate - Thinnish body, bit creamy. Finish - bit over dry though but there is some nice sharp bitter hops, lingering bitter
Overall - Good golden ale with some decent hop bitterness...bit of a bizarre story related to the name - it was the name of an child’s imaginary friend who lived in an air vent in a leisure centre(!)...go look it up on the website
