(Draught) Pours a dark brown (near black) with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, minerals, and grass. Flavor of roasted malt, mineral, cocoa, and grain with a dry finish.

This unfiltered porter has a dark brown, thick appearance, almost soda-like, with an off-white, bubbly head. A great malt-coffee aroma. This, unfiltered mouth feel that packs a great malt punch. Lightly bitter, almost mossy palate. Specialty grains add a nice coffee/chocolate character. Easy to drink and unoffensive.

Tap at the brewpub. Pretty dark amber in color, with a thin and lasting head. Definite roastiness in the aroma. Flavor has some strong chocolate and coffee flavors up front, with some malty roastiness as well and a little bit too much hop bitterness than would be balanced. Smooth and just thick enough for the style. Overall, slightly unbalanced but the best this brewpub has to offer so far.
