Bottle condition. Bought from the actual brewer at a craft fair. No head at all, when poured. Loads of sediment left in the bottle. Had a real malty aroma. Appearance is a really dark brown, slightly hazy in glass. Flavour is bitter in the mouth with a sweet finish.

Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. In much the same vein as the Ramblers Ruin I had before this but with greater depth of flavour. Toasty malts, raisins, caramel and earthy hops. Some sweetness (not too much) and a nice hoppy finish.

Cask at Southampton Beer Festival. Dark red-brown, some head which leaves nice lacings, clear. Toffey and white pepper in the aroma. Tastes of roasted malts and toffey with a spicy aftertaste of bitter hops. Some coffey. Slightly sour, perhaps from the roasted malts?
