Cask, Tamworth ’09. Reddish and tawny with a shortlived slick of suds. Steady grower that seems bland at first; clean and pleasant coniferous hop and watery toffee balance, crushed digestive afters, squeeze of tea. Quite dry in the finish, some thistle-like milky greenery. Solidly English, malty, hoppy, good....

Cask conditioned - handpump - Anchor Birmingham A copper coloured beer with a whitish ring of bubbles. The aroma has a dash of toffee. Hints of sweetness in the mouth with more toffee notes. Unspectacular but drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 22/11/08. Amber coloured, with a frothy, off-white head that left lots of lacing down the glass. Aroma of fruity malts, a hint of caramel and some earthy hops. Flavour had some sweetish fruit, a touch of spice and a long, bitter finish. Very drinkable.
