Drink cold (8°C) Eye: pours a light/fade yellow color with a nice medium sized but rather quickly dissipating white head with nice carbonation. Nose: grassy hops and a bit metallic Mouth: citrus fruit, grassy as well, a bit dull though. Not much left of the visible carbonation. Expected a bit more herbs or hops even but there’s not much. Palate: slightly nutty with a dull and rather long finish. Overall: had it out of the can, what might explain the metallic taste. A rather mild draught and nothing special.

Pours golden with foamy white head. Taste is light and malty with sweet dry aftertaste. Very drinkable and surprisingly better had in the bottle

Bottle, drunk at Sunnyside hotel, Johannesburg. Nice fresh aroma and not too carbonated. Tender hints of malts and some (generic) hops but as a premium lager -- not my favourite style -- this is very, very good and drinkable.

Nothing bad but I don’t see the difference between this one and the regular. Except this one is less ABV. Pretty tasteless whatever they say about reinheitsgebot...

Probably the best beer in the world No, of course not, I just wanted to mess with Carlsberg. My favorite lager in the World, Windhoek Draught is my beer of choice if I can’t fint any craft beers. It has a good hop profile, there’s enough of a malt presence to make it interesting and it is very crisp and thirst quenching. When ever I am in South Africa, I go for this fine product from Südwest (Namibia). Why is it far better than any other of its kind in this region? Well, it is brewed by Germans using the reinheitsgebot. This means, no additives, no pesky maize and just a beer through and through. If you go to South Africa, make sure you make Windhoek your beer.
