3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle on holiday in Namibia. Maltier than tthe basic version, not sure if that makes it more pleasant, it’s less refreshing, a bit more suiteed for tasting I guess.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
My friend Robert brought this one back for me from a trio to Africa. +++ Sampled from a 16 oz green bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large creamy orange-white head that left no lacing. The aroma was tangy, almost skunky, sweetish and a bit sour with faint grassy hops. The flavor was tangy, sour mash, faint grassy and floral hops. Medium length finish. Light to medium body.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Drink cold (8°C)
Eye: pours a light/fade yellow color with a nice medium sized but rather quickly dissipating white head with nice carbonation.
Nose: grassy hops and a bit metallic
Mouth: citrus fruit, grassy as well, a bit dull though. Not much left of the visible carbonation. Expected a bit more herbs or hops even but there’s not much.
Palate: slightly nutty with a dull and rather long finish.
Overall: had it out of the can, what might explain the metallic taste. A rather mild draught and nothing special.

Pours golden with foamy white head. Taste is light and malty with sweet dry aftertaste. Very drinkable and surprisingly better had in the bottle

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, drunk at Sunnyside hotel, Johannesburg. Nice fresh aroma and not too carbonated. Tender hints of malts and some (generic) hops but as a premium lager -- not my favourite style -- this is very, very good and drinkable.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Nothing bad but I don’t see the difference between this one and the regular. Except this one is less ABV. Pretty tasteless whatever they say about reinheitsgebot...
