440 ml can. Pale golden body with a foamy white head. Mild grainy aroma. Flavor is sweet grainy and rather neutral, not much bitterness. Thin body and weak aftertaste. Drinkable but definitively not much going on here.

Probably the best beer in the world No, of course not, I just wanted to mess with Carlsberg. My favorite lager in the World, Windhoek Draught is my beer of choice if I can’t fint any craft beers. It has a good hop profile, there’s enough of a malt presence to make it interesting and it is very crisp and thirst quenching. When ever I am in South Africa, I go for this fine product from Südwest (Namibia). Why is it far better than any other of its kind in this region? Well, it is brewed by Germans using the reinheitsgebot. This means, no additives, no pesky maize and just a beer through and through. If you go to South Africa, make sure you make Windhoek your beer.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 Golden color with very fizzy head. Aroma is skunk, piss, lemon, citrus and sweet malt. Nice citric mouth feel with medium carbonation. Aftertaste is dry, citric and lasting malt sweetness. Overall: Not to bad.

Drinking from a 440ml bottle. The beer is clear, golden yellow with a white head that doesn’t stick long. In the aroma straw and (even more) grains. First sip is bitter, but after that the taste gets more balanced. It’s medium to high carbonated. A beer with character, rare for it’s style.

I expected little, but this lager has a nice berry bubblegum touch on the aroma and flavour that makes it quite likeable.

Bottle South Africa. Pours golden clear straw. Medium carbonation and head that does not last. Aroma of straw. Nothing special. Lies more to the typical pale lager qualities than a pilsner.

33 cl. can sampled courtesy of PriorL. Thx! Pale golden, small white head. Slight skunk in the nose, yeast, soap, cleaning agent, weak, not too bothersome. Taste is slightly soapy, grass, touch bitter pale grains, slight white bread. Lighter body, bit thinner carb. Not particularly exiting but not terrible or anything & certainly drinkable.

Can. Premium draught version. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, small unstable white head, NOSE: little fruity, grains. TASTE: malty, little fruity, bitter aftertaste. One of the better pilsener Beers available in south Afrika!
