Pours a golden yellow with a bit of a white head. Not much aroma or taste. Watery. Something I would avoid.

Bottled. Pours pale yellow with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, white bread with fruit hop notes on the nose. Smooth malty initial flavor with a yeasty, sweet hop finish. Some spotty lacing. Very drinkable session beer. Light and silky palate, ends slightly dry.

Pours a clear gold with a half-inch white head. Malty aroma, malty taste. Light hope presence. Just another pale lager, I’m afraid. Nothing really to distinguish it from the pack.

Not much to this one. Refreshing in the warm Namibian summer, but doesn’t give me what I want in a beer. Not full flavoured, pale colour, and unimpressive taste.

This is one of the "yellow beers" that I sampled during my recent trip to South Africa. Since these beers fit into the common catagory of "refreshing" pissy lagers, it was not worth the social stigma of whipping out my pen and taking tasting notes with my new South African aquaintences. Among these beers are Windhoek Lager, Amstel Lager, Castle Lager, and Hansa. Windhoek was the best of these, especially when it was on draft.

African continent but one taste tells you the brewmeister is German. Pretty decent (unremarkable) light lager. I’m guessing the brewer is an ex-Nazi deserter from Rommel’s African Corps, but then again, I see a limo with tinted widows and I’m pretty sure either Oprah or Prince is in it...

Ok this is my first rating so maybe I have gone a little high. Its the best African beer I have had. I like to drink it very cold. Its crisp, goes down very easily and never gives you that ’bloated’ feeling in you guts. Also I find myself in agreeance with many others, no hangover. Looks very tempting in a tall glass if poured right, try to do it in one pour. It should be noted that if you are being served in Tanzania most bar tenders/waitress will bugger it up and give you about half a glass of head. So insist on doing it yourself and enjoy.

Tastes like something I’ve had before--Warsteiner, Heiniken or something. Still good but taste dissappeared quickly after drinking it. Nice hoppy flavor. Very nice.
