Chokehold (20), cape town, South Africa Nov 30, 2004 golden in color, very easy drinking. glides down your throat.
i highly recommend this beer on a sunday with a BBQ Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Nov 29, 2004
Clear golden color, average white head, slims down fast.
Aroma: typical lager smell, slightly corny, but drying up with a quickness, and reminding me more of a pilsner.
Neat little hop appearance at first, lightly drizzling the senses, tasty malt character, just-right balance, even-tempered finish, with hops handily maintaining a presence all the way through.
I like this lager more and more as I finished it, and appreciated the citric/lemony flavor that develops in the middle and rides out through the end.
A very ordinary lager, one that slakes thirst and slides down the throat without trouble, just like it’s supposed to.
Burner (78), Cape Town, South Africa Nov 28, 2004 A slightly bitter lager, with a delightfully crispness coupled with a sweet aroma. An easy drinking lager, a few steps up from Castle Lager. No preservatives, and doesn’t seem to give me a hang over either! argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Nov 26, 2004 Sparkling clear straw body with large white head. Aroma is medium sweet, skunked grass, bread, some caramel. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, biscuit. Finishes with mild grassy bitterness. Light body with some crispness. Nothing to make you try it again, but certainly a step up from the average third-world lager. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Nov 2, 2004 Blond color. The light vanilla and paper aroma of poor lagers. Ordinary taste, at least with a strong bitterness. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Oct 19, 2004 Green bottle - Light yellow, typical appearance. Corny melon candy nose, with a similar flavor... fizzy, ultra-sickly sweet corn and sugar... ugh.... horrible stuff. I can’t stomach this kind of stuff, it’s amazing that the average Joe Sixpack even drinks it. I poured my coffee into it so that I could finish. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Oct 12, 2004 Updated: Jul 6, 2005This struck my eye on the chalkboard at Quenchers. A Namibian beer? Oh, well. Not a bad lager, but nothing special. Thin white head on a pale yellow body, it had mainly a modestly sweet malt aroma. Light-bodied with a mild, sweet malt taste. Okay. But at least I can, for what it’s worth, that I had a beer from there.

clong83 (243), San Diego, California, USA Oct 4, 2004 Updated: Jan 19, 2008I thought a beer from Namibia might be somewhat interesting, but it ended up just being a standard lager, nothing special. The expiration date on the bottle said "April 2003" Not a good sign. If I ever get a fresher, non-expired bottle I will re-rate. As it was, I think this tasted a lot like Moosehead, only a little skunkier.
RE-RATE: Nope, non-expired, and still not good. In fact, I docked it a little.
