Canned edition... Both taste and aroma makes you think of the contents of a public toilet on a hot summersday

Skunky, malty and hoppy sweet aroma. Golden coloured with a lasting thin white head. Taste is miserable; hoppy-sweet, some undefined taste, hopbitter. Watery palate.

Bottled: Golden coloured. Thin white head. Malty and grainy aroma. Malty and somewhat metallic flavour. Is very light bitter, grassy and dry in the end. A little too boring for me.

Nice German style lager. Is actually very drinkable, which sets Windhoek well beyond the competition in mass market beer available in South Africa.

Damaged rice-ish aroma with a clear color. Somewhat refreshing with a bit of fizz in the taste. not nearly as bad as i thought it would be.

Sparkling light straw colour with a fine, slow-moving carbonation and whisp of white foam. This is about as pretty as a yellow beer can get. Grassy aroma, with a light spiciness and bready malt background. Again, about as good as this type of beer can do. Clean, grassy body. Moderately full for abv level. Carbo is soft but insistent. Finish is sweetish, grassy, balanced. The label looks a bit like Carlsberg and it is a very Carlsbergian beer - a light lager that is very clean and well-executed. Certainly not a show-stopper, but worthy of respect for its technical precision.

Pale gold colour with a mostly diminishing frothy white head. Sour grassy and honey aroma. Watery and slightly sweet start, faint bitter finish. Typical "premium imported" green bottle lager, maybe a bit less offensive than most.

Bottled. Pale golden colour with a sharp, finite, little white head. Light dry flavour with a decent dry/bitter finish. Not painful but easily forgotten.
