| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a foamy head. Aroma is of grain, hops, and a little malt. Flavor is a little on the sweet side, consisting of mostly cereal/grain. Tastes better than I expected given the pungent aroma, but not my favorite beer by any means. altonbrownd (1891), Amsterdam, Netherlands
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 10, 2009 Have enjoyed this in Namibia many times, and more recently in Berlin and Amsterdam. A fairly standard yellow lager with grainy nose. Sweet, with a little bitterness. Watery, but has a speciaal place in my beer heart. thebeertourist (2777), Oslo, Norway
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Bottle. Pale yellow with a big white head. Sweet, grainy straw aroma. Flavours are mostly sweet with very little bitterness. Very lightweight in all respects, but better than the local water, maybe. Martinus (19), Nijmegen, Netherlands

Yellow, little head. Sweet malt aroma, straw and cereal. Fresh and clean malt flavour, rather balanced between sweets and hops.
Tasted cold on the evening of a hot day, and it works well in this setting. Overall: not a great lager, but it compares favouritly to other beers in the region. naivepegasus (183), USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Pours a clear orange yellow with a fair bit of stark white, rapidly dissipating head. Sigh. Pale lagers just aren’t that good. Smell of sweet straw and skunk. Very light taste, with a bit of sweetness to the aftertaste. Like I said. Most of the time, pale lagers just aren’t that good. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Bottle. The aroma of hops and grass. It has a medium large white foamy head, which disappeared fast, the body is clear and yellow. A light sour taste, later on a strange sweet taste appears, the duration is rather short. The body is light and dry with a normal carbonation, the finish is a little bit metallic. Nothing special. rosenbergh (877), Helsinki, Finland

Golden with fast disappearing white head. Mild buttery aroma. Malty and buttery flavour. Not great but quite OK for an African Lager.
