3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours clear yellow with a moderate, frothy white head. The aroma holds dry cereal, dough, faint straw. Light sweet flavor, impressively dry, with further simple pale malts and low bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mild sweetness in the finish with dry white bread, straw, biscuits. Simple, tasty pale lager.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Pours pale yellow with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, white bread with fruit hop notes on the nose. Smooth malty initial flavor with a yeasty, sweet hop finish. Some spotty lacing. Very drinkable session beer. Light and silky palate, ends slightly dry.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle... Clear yellow lager with a tall, fizzy, white head. Aroma of honey, barely kilned malt, and yeast. The thin flavor offers little... mild bread and honey notes. Well-balanced and certainly not offensive, but uninspired. Light-bodied and watery with fizzy carbonation. Short, clean finish.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottled. A pale golden lager with a little off-white wisp of head. A sweet and sickly aroma with a chemically note. Very short in the mouth and over sweet. Poor and not a thrill.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Green bottle - Light yellow, typical appearance. Corny melon candy nose, with a similar flavor... fizzy, ultra-sickly sweet corn and sugar... ugh.... horrible stuff. I can’t stomach this kind of stuff, it’s amazing that the average Joe Sixpack even drinks it. I poured my coffee into it so that I could finish.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Golden with lots of rising bubbles. Aromas are grain and sour apple. Flavours are crisp grain with some citrus. Has a sparkly water character and is pretty thin - but refreshing.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
OK, I only bought this because I hadn’t had a beer from Namibia before. It’s just another dull lager, but there’s nothing really objectionable about it. There’s a touch of malt and some sweetness. Short of backbone, but drinkable. 340ml bottle, from beersofeurope.co.uk. BBE 30 September 2004.
