4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Does not immediately stand out against other commercial beers. That is, not until your first sip! Flavourful for a beer, Windhoek is one of the few commercial beers that consistently entices an ABF.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from Fyne Wines, Argyll. In short, it’s a lager. Crisp and clean tasting it may be, and without the faux-metallic tang of many of the big-brews, but it’s still a fairly flavourless lager.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Clear yellow color, small white head. Aroma of grass, hop, fresh. Taste is mild, light sweet, salty, light bitter. Flat palate, medium texture. May a mildly malty aftertaste.
It gets a bit disgusting as it warms up, the strange salty taste gets more intense.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Light off white head, gold golden clear smooth body.
Aroma; malts, grass, yeast. Taste; grass, yeast, green beans, grains.
Normal on palate, slightly diluted only. Short finish with bread notes.
This beer travelled all the way to a supermarket in Denmark, and I’m not sure it was worth it. Danish macro breweries may do even worse than this.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Hard to tell apart from other big company lagers, but works well on a sunny day with braai. Perhaps more hops than other big ones. Not that interested in having it again but it is common in South Africa so who knows.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
This is one of the most disgusting beers I have ever had. It tastes like saline solution mixed with hops.
