altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Feb 10, 2009 Golden body, slight head. Hoppy and corny nose. Some sweetness in the taste. Pretty light and watery. Corny finish. Block (363), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Jan 20, 2009 Pale yellow pour with a white head. Light aroma of malts. It tasted like raw malts. Simply wort with alcohol added came to mind. Light body. naivepegasus (183), USA Jan 9, 2009 I’ve not met a pale lager I have liked, so let’s see if this can change my mind. Typical sticky straw smell doesn’t really give me much hope. Pours straight yellow with a little bit of lingering head. really light mouthfeel, with a slightly sticky syrupy taste that’s quick to go down, but not particularly tasty. It’s very meh. BiddleBrau (303), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Jan 2, 2009 Golden with thin head. Aroma of cereal. Sweet flavor, similar to a Helles, very light on the tongue, carbonation on the low side so it not so prickly like an American light lager. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Dec 23, 2008 11.5oz bottle-pours a white head with yellow/gold color. Aroma is grain/light malt-caramel, husky, some herbal hops. Taste is grain/light malt-caramel, husky, some herbal hops. Mild carbonation. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this. conor23 (110), Elgin, Illinois, USA Dec 17, 2008 Nice clean aroma and a crisp hoppy flavor and fizzy mouthfeel. Pretty straight-forward but decent. SSSteve (2049), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 4, 2008 clear pale gold under a medium sized frothy white head. honey and malt aroma. honey, grainy malt, corn flakes, stale hops in flavor. not a good one. i like the regular windhoek better. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Clear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. Balanced aroma and flavour of honeyish malt and grassy hops, with a moderately bittered finish. Crisp body, quite refreshing. Another surprisingly decent Euro-style lager from these guys.
