Somewhat dry n’ hoppy with some sweet raisin-flavour. Not too bad after all!

From Vin de Pays of Long Beach, CA. Poured a smallish white head above a body of clear, medium gold. Aroma waa pleasant yet atypical, with maybe some malt but with also an unidentifiable quality. Rather like the taste, in fact. Mouthfeel was okay but did lighten up at the finish. An average yet drinkable beer.

Golden colour. Medium bodied, clean, rounded maltiness, low bitterness. Not bad at all.

Pours a three finger white head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a little lace. Crystal clear pale amber color. Grassy nose. Light-medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor is sweet hay, hops must be balancing as this is rather inoffensive. As usual special doesn’t mean anything. $1.83 for a 11.5oz bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT.

At the BP station near the InterContinental Hotel in Lusaka, Zambia. A step above Windhoek Lager and definitely stronger. Still an average, unassuming, not too exciting lager.

Better than the original, but still slightly bitter and tangy. Bubbles are large and indicative to a mass produced beer. Plain beer with no distinct character.

Bottle. Clear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. Balanced aroma and flavour of honeyish malt and grassy hops, with a moderately bittered finish. Crisp body, quite refreshing. Another surprisingly decent Euro-style lager from these guys.
