3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask, gravity at the brewery, Saturday 20th October 2012 Pours light chestnut with just a smattering of bubbles across the surface. Good aroma, plenty of hops showing. In the mouth this has a distinctive autumnal feel, nutty, mellow and with a slightly rustic quality, however the hops used ensure that this is far from run of the mill. I think I can detect the maple syrup but it has been added in a sensible quantity and adds a subtle sweetness. Another very nice beer from a great brewery A7 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at Union Tavern. It pours deep amber with a small white head. The nose is earth, toast, wood, varnish and
toffee. The taste is wood, earth, toast, mild acidity, brown bread and varnish with a dry finish. Medium body and finish. Not a whole lot to it, but tis alright.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Anchor, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark chesnut brown with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is dry weak malt with a hint of pepper spice. The flavour is weak bitter. Light bodied with a watery palate and a long bitter finish. Fine for a short session but needs more body and flavour. The description sounds amazing but for me it really didn’t live up to the hype.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear brown color with very little head on it. Nose is light and slightly hoppy with just a hint of some caramel and toasted malts in there. Taste is a bit toasty and definitely malt forward, but is easy to drink and quite light and smooth. Good brew.

15th December 2012
Bright clear amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is crisp and a little dry. Minerals. Smooth sweet malt. Some maple detectable. A sweetish orange - tangerine hop before the semi dry finish. All right but could have done with more of everything!
