Mainly available in 330ml bottles. Has been seen on cask.
With an original gravity of 1075 this is a stronger special edition of Conqueror not for the faint hearted. CONQUEROR 1075 is a rich and complex innovative black IPA brewed from a unique blend of five speciality malts along with Cascade and Pacific Jade whole leaf hops.

Bottle. Black with some hopiness. Medium body and slightly floral. Reminded me of a cross between an IPA and a stout as I still struggle with the concept of a dark IPA. Liked it.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a black colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, yeast and grass. Flavour of roasted malts, strong dough-like yeastiness, grassy hops, leather, salt and sweetish fruits. Medium bodied, oily mouthfeel and a salty, grassy and roasty finish. Alcohol comes through. Rather bland for a Black IPA and lacks bitterness.

33 cl bottle. BBE 26.05.2014.
Pours pitch black color with a large and thick off-white head. Aroma of mandarin, roasted malts, some pine needles, hops, some licorice notes and caramel. Flavor has quite a lot salty licorice, mild roasted malts, resiny hops, orange, faint grassy notes and some lemon. Quite slick, bitter and malty palate with a burnt finish. Very heavy mouth feel. A tad too salty but otherwise very good black IPA. Better than the standard Conqueror.

Oct 2012 - Roasted barley imparts smokiness. I suppose it is a bit more hoppy than your average porter though overall. I’ve had better black IPAs for sure, but there’s nothing wrong with this.

Half pint at the Nags Head in Reading. Black, almost no head. Well hopped, quite bitter and smooth. Very dry finish. Decent hoppy aroma. Reasonable but a bit overdone with the hops.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2013. Black beer lasting beige head. Leafy hoppy aroma. Yes a good hoppy beer. Yes hits all the its big and hoppy ticks. Light in mouth at same time. Some syrupy alcohol comes through at end. Good though. Great aroma.

0.33l bottle. This one pours a deep dark brown body down in my glass and on top there is a great looking big and big-bubbly khaki head. It smells really nice this one! Lot’s of fruity hops, salty licorice, chocolate, marzipan, roastiness and some suiting boozy alcohol. Yeah, this has to be one of the better BIA’s I’ve nosed I beleive. It has a silky smooth oily mouthfeel and its soft to average carbonated. Great flavors as well! This is impressive stuff. A gentle roastiness juiced up with warming alcohol, soft chocolate, a fruity bitterness and it all feels really integrated and tasty all the way. Ends with a nice leather/licorice flavor that goes on and on in the aftertaste. Really impressive! 30.06.2012
