Our black IPA, Conqueror is a rich, complex and very distinctive ale. It is brewed with a careful blend of five speciality malts along with Summit and Cascade hops to produce an intense combination of roasted flavours balanced with full fresh pine hop aroma.

Aroma - Citrus and floral hops, bit spicy, chocolate, smooth dark malts, touch of grapefruit, nice fruity floral aroma with a chocolate dark malts background, very mellow roast
Taste - Smooth dark malts, chocolate, floral hops, grapefruit. grapefruit, dab of sponge cake mix, soft mellow roast, quite a complex flavour for the abv, I’m liking this a lot

Otterdance (164) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2014
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2014 Bottle. Very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is eclectic with lots of ash, some pine and floral hops and a little sweet chocolate. Good combination of toasted malts and pine hops with neither outweighing the other. Hefty wack of smoke, some liquorice and pepper. Light to medium bodied. Dry and bitter finish. This is nice, but the smoke throws the balance of a little, especially as this is pretty dry.

Scopey (5553) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2013
Cask at the Willow Walk. It pours dark ruby with a medium beige head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, light smoke, coffee and some acidity. The taste is rich roast, piney bitterness, toast, coffee, cocoa, liquorice, mild acidity, pepper, grapefruit rind and ash with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well rounded and rather drinkable. Nice.

Poured by gravity @ NERAX North cask festival. 11/16/2013 Haverhill, MA. Pitch black with some tan head. This brew has a large Cascade hop influence. Nose is light chocolate with big pine and light citrus hops. A nice marriage of roasted malts and pine hops. Resinous hops lingering for a few seconds after the sip leading to a dry finish. This is the best English beer I sampled at this festival. Well-made and tasty.
