3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Copper, clear, no head; biscuity malt and earthy hops; a little nutty; whilst the dry, moderately bitter finish is softer than most, presumably down to the oak, you’d be hard pressed to describe this as anything other than an ok trad bitter.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Incredibly malty with a sweet caramel and biscuity flavour. A bit one dimensional and could do with some bittering or at least a bit more body as it had an almost home-brew kit thinness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle. Clear reddish copper colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of red berries. Taste is dry fruity, subtle sweetness, hints of red berries, dry hints of fruit parings, a touch of wood. Simple but nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle) Clear amber beer with a decent off-white head. Caramel aroma. An almost sour fruit flavour along with a blend of malt and hop, and followed by a mostly hoppy dry finish. It’s a pity there’s not more aftertaste to it. Not especially exciting but very drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at the Union Tavern - Westbourne Park, London. Courtesy of Paddy during the W&E event. Pours clear, amber-brown with a soft, creamy head. Nose holds some lightly toasted brown bread with traces of dirt and leaves. Light sweet flavor with toasty brown bread, mellow bitterness, some toasty sugars. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Balanced finish, nice toasted malt foundation with a delicate leafy and toasted grass bitterness. Great bitter overall. I could easily drink this by the pint.
