COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
Our second beer is Knight of the Garter, launched on June 14th to coincide with the Ceremony of the Garter at Windsor Castle. It is a straw-coloured Golden Ale (3.8% ABV) easy summer drinking with a distinctive fresh citrus hop aroma. As with Guardsman, it is brewed with premium Maris Otter pale malt from a traditional floor sweeping. Again we are using whole leaf hops – English Pilgrim in the copper and a blend in the hopback, including American Amarillo with their gorgeous orangey aroma.

(Cask at Carpenter’s Arms, Marble Arch, London, 20 July 2011) Pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange, apricots and dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of toast, apricots, orange and a balanced bitterness. Rather light body, with balanced sweetness. Quite nice.

HogTownHarry (5984) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2011
August 12, 2011 - cask at The Harp (Chados Place). Bright clear refractive amber-tinged gold with a large, lasting and creamy off-white head. Intensely bitter floral aroma, some heather, very very light grain, no alcohol. Taste is, if anything, more one-dimensional - incredibly floral and bitter, not much else. Chewy mouthfeel, slightly light of body, decent cask carbonation, has a very long dry floral/grassy astringent finish.
