3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 HogTownHarry (5653) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, - AUG 23, 2011August 12, 2011 - cask at The Harp (Chados Place). Bright clear refractive amber-tinged gold with a large, lasting and creamy off-white head. Intensely bitter floral aroma, some heather, very very light grain, no alcohol. Taste is, if anything, more one-dimensional - incredibly floral and bitter, not much else. Chewy mouthfeel, slightly light of body, decent cask carbonation, has a very long dry floral/grassy astringent finish.

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Bitter with some citrus and a bitter finnish. An amazing amount of complex flavours with a lot of strength
considering its relatively low ABV.

2nd May 2011 Clear gold beer, good white head. Light semi dry palate. A fair bit of pale malt in which a little citrus hop resides. Light dry finish with a very light touch of bitterness. Weakest of the W&E beers.

Bottle at home courtesy of Theydon_Bois, cheers Colin!
Honey blonde with temporary fluffy cream head that soon collapses to a lacing. Peppery citrus nose. Sweet biscuit malt up front with lemon and passion-fruit following in behind. Medium carbonation. Touch of yeast esters and English hop bitterness.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Theydon_Bois (2957) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2012
On cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham dispensed into a UK pint glass (Feb ’12).
Pours a clear golden blonde colour with a small frothy white head.
Bitter floral hopped aroma - wonderful, this was freshly tapped and as good it gets !
Very well hopped for a 3.8% session beer in my opinion, all citrus notes - pineapple, orange, grapefruit showing up. A little sweet malt flavour also come into play.
Light in body, low in carbonation leaves you with a tangy but not too bitter aftertaste.
Another great beer from Wndsor & Eton, in the true ’session’ mould.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sm89walt (1587) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2012
Cask - The Harp, London. Poured with a fine white head on a clear, bright amber body. Good crisp & juicy, lightly zesty hops all-round. Rather crisp & refreshing, soft carbonation, light to medium body, soft bittersweet - grassy hops & biscuity pale malts - finish. A solid, solid golden ale that really hit the spot after an all you can eat, salt & sugar loaded Chinese.

Cask conditioned at Reading BF 2012. Clear pale gold. Lasting white head. Its a decent slighly grassy hoppy golden ale. Yes fine if not exciting. Hops on finish are ok though
