Fat.

Hand pulled at Dean Swift, London. Amber ale which smells sweaty and hoppy. Tastes bitter and dry, tart, but soft enough to leave it drinkable. Very traditional style with no surprises but nice.

Bottle. Clear amber. Rich Nelson aroma, inviting you in.
Malty body, an English bitter enriched by exotic hops. Fine session ale.

Cask at Dean Swift with Sarah. Pours a clear amber gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy grassy hops with a hint of dankness and backing bread. Flavor has light grassy hops with backing light grain, bread and leaves.

Cask in the Horseshoe, NW3. Copper gold coloured bitter, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma. This is a very drinkable bitter, with a light malty background and a fresh fruity hop character leading to a medium bitter finish. The best I’ve had by these guys so far.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beersiveknown (1617) - NORTHERN IRELAND - AUG 7, 2012
Bottle at home, courtesy of the brewery.
Pours medium amber with a slight off-white open textured head. The nose is all about nelson sauvin, grapes and melon with a touch of toffee crystal malt in behind. Medium bodied, lots of fruit, touch of marscapone, grapes, lycheee, little by way of bitterness, tongue tingling at finish
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Theydon_Bois (2957) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2012
Bottle at home (badged as ’The Dukes Ale’ ).
Pours to a clear amber/gold with a very thin white head and plenty of carbonation in evidence.
Citrus, caramel and grass on the nose.
Sweet in the taste but to a fairly low level, tangerine and mild grape flavours coming across.
Malty backbone and a dryish finish.
Not my favourite W&E beer but decent stuff none the less and enjoying drinking this as I review.
Cheers!
