cask at number 27, inverness, march 2014. beautiful pour that takes some time to settle. nice creamy mouthfeel, diminishing over time. hops dominate. grapefruit, orange, coriander...really didnít care for the blonde so this makes me think to give Windswept another go. good but not going to give e.g. Happy Chappy any real competition just yet.

Bottle. Pours cloudy, dark amber, with a thick white/tan head that settles thin & holds. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, fine bubbles. Aroma is weak citrus & pine trees. Taste is slightly bitter, orange, tangy, malty of bread & wood. Mouthfeel soft. Finish is bitter, sharp & refreshing.

Quick rate. Bottle from Natural Retreats Storehouse. Decent bitter with underlying sweetness. Fine but won't be seeking it out.

Clear amber beer with a thin head. Aroma is a citrus and malt blend. Flavour is citrus-y with a hoppy, grassy feel to it. Finish is dry and fresh, a very summery beer.

Cask, Delnashaugh, Ballindalloch. Pours hazy, amber. Aroma has a fruity accent. Light body and bitterness, has some biscuity malts. Itís basically a bitter. Quite yeasty, doesnít quite come together but an ok pint.

500ml bottle from Alesela. Pours clear pale amber, thin white head. Aromas of stewed black tea, light orange citrus, toffee. Taste has more of the same, a subtle but growing bitterness. Heavier on the caramel-sweet side of things though. Medium body, oily texture, bitter finish. OK.
