Tasted this at the Glasgow Real Ale Festival held in the Briggait on the 26th June 2015. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear dark amber in colour with a thin white head. Strong fruity notes of Del Monte Tropical fruit salad long in intensity. Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Mixed malts complex gives a strong fruit backbone with notes of mango, pineapple, and passion fruit flavours to the fore. Interesting fresh pine resin dryness noted in the fruity hopped aftertaste. Finish is malty with a subtle Highland toffee flavour present with the juicy fruits. This is an excellent IPA and up there with Thornbridge Jaipur IPA as a benchmark type. Highly recommended and very popular at the GRAF.

Bottle 33cl from Le Barboteur, shared with Fabien G @ home. I did not find the Citra taste but still a good IPA, a bit too malty for my taste.

Bottle. Sweet malt, vegetables with some citra hope character. Malt is interfering with the hops, no harmony between the two.

Daneben hopfig, spritzig, erfrischend, etwas bitter. Alles in Ordnung also.

Gravity cask at the Cambridge Beer Festival 2015. Orangey copper, slightly hazy, pretty flat. Smells of pine, toffee apple, grass, papaya. Taste is surprisingly sweet and malty for an IPA, but it works. Under-the-Tongue bitterness in the finish. Glorious in my opinion... so often IPAs and other strong hoppy beers are disappointing in cask. This one isn’t.
