Clear, dark red beer with an off-white head. It has a light fruity scent and the flavour is toasted malt, light fruit and a caramel touch with a crisp, sweet finish.

50 cl bottle.
Pours dark mahogany color with a medium sized head. Aroma is extremely nutty and dry with malts, lots of dried fruits, subtle vanilla with hints of chocolate. Flavor is also very nutty and malty, sweet caramel, vanilla and chocolate also. Hints of coffee on the lingering aftertaste. A bit harsh with the malts, could be a lot smoother. Interesting but not as pleasant as I hoped.

On cask @ SIBA BeerX - Deep ruby body, off white head. Big robust taste of chocolate, liquorice and malt. The nose isn’t as strong as the taste, which is a shame really. Medium body, decent finish. Enjoyed this one!

Dark brown, rich burnt toffee aroma - quite appetizing. Fairly strong-tasting with complex dark malts, rich sugars, complex dark caramelized things like the top of creme brulee. One of the few Scottish Ales I’ve ever had in Scotland.

500ml bottle, present from Douglas. Very dark chestnut brown, not much head. Sweet milky malt aroma. Sweet spicy bubblegum malt flavour. Sharp spicy milky malt aftertaste. Not my sort of beer.
