Bottle from Aldi. Not unpleasant. It's like a more intense and complex GK Abbots Ale. Sweet and quite nice dry afters. The big problem is this: it's hard going after a few sips. Your palate gets exhausted eventually and you wish it was more quaffable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at Bow bar. Pours deep ruby. Nose is dark malts, syrupy sweetness, chocolate, leather. Taste is medium sweet, velvety smooth, malts, liquorice, chocolate, dry fruits. Way better than I expected.

Dark brown body, offwhitey head. Aroma has some roastiness, some dark sweet malt and bit alcohol. Flavour is bit watery but has caramel and some roasted malts.
