3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown pour. Thick dark tan head that sticks around. Aroma of Coconut, roasts, chicory, caramel, coconut butter. Light carb. Nice low sweetness. Tastes of coconut, bread, char. Alcohol is well concealed. Watery wet palate. I would’ve preferred some more body.

The aroma and color are magnificent. The taste on the other hand was quick and hard to taste the ingredients.

22 oz. bottle. Wow. With the caveat that I DETEST coconut, I must confess that I hate this beer. Because it is very coconutty, and I hate coconut. My wife is drinking all but the tiny sip I took. Blech.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown verging on black with a tan head that fades to a thin layer. Aroma of roasted malt, coconut, and dark chocolate. Taste is chocolate with coconut (reminds me of a fancy truffle), the roasted malt lends acidity and a bit of char on the edges. Lingering slight toasted coconut flavor. Low bitterness, low-med body. Carb a little disappointingly thin for an 8% beer with rich flavors like these. Tasty, has lots of potential.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Choc and slight coconut aroma in this dark brew with a huge light brown head. Deep choc like Hershey's syrup and big carb bubbles. Full bodied. No coconut aftertaste is same as first taste. Very meh.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a dark brown color with a huuuuuuuge mocha head. Aroma is sweet coconut and roast with those same fruity esters as the regular porter. Taste is similar to the original. Not terrible, just didn’t work for me. The thin body on this one just really throws me off, and the fruity esters. If you like your porters fermented at higher temps, which produces the fruity esters, this is for you, just didn’t do it for me.

22 oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a ton of tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coconut, and vanilla. Taste is sweet, with chocolate, lots of coconut, and medium bitterness coming from the malts. Goes down smooth. I really, really liked this!

On draught during the 7th Annual Nano Beer Fest at Max’s Fanno Creek Brew Pub. Black color. Aroma is dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla, and roasted malt. Taste is similar to aroma, with the added touches of spice and smoke. Dark chocolate and a hint of coconut remain in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A nice coconut porter overall. Pours an inky black with a tan head. Smells great, with lots of real coconut. Taste is smooth but not creamy, with lots of coconut upfront, and a whiskey-like finish. Had in the bottle.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to my wife! Pours near black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and a bitter dark grains with some light toasted coconuts. Flavor has a nice combination of coconut and roasted malts with growing dark grains that add a touch of bitterness in the finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Black, moderate to large foamy dark khaki head, nice lacing. Big coconut nose, soft vanilla and roasted malts. Somewhat of a thin roasty start, definite coconut, hints of vanilla and even campfire. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Finishes slightly astringent, lingering coconut and husk. Great cold, but as it warmed up it seemed to thin out.   Soften the coconut, bring the Porter up a bit as it seems a bit lopsided.
