4.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aromas of bread and chocolate, pours a thick deep black with a mocha colored foam, no head with decent lacing. Coffee, chocolate, burnt sugar, malty smooth earthy bitterness. This is a really very tasty imperial porter.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Superb Imperial porter -- amazed it rates so low on ratebeer! Chocolate aroma in a spirited, bordering on gushy, pour. Solid roastiness flavor, with coffee and chocolate notes in that order. Just Solid, with a capital S. would call this one a stout in fact. Recommended -- buy it and drink it if you have the opportunity!!

Can. Black color with fleeting tan sheen. Earthy kelp, sour dough, chocolate, vinous aromas. Light frothy mouthfeel. Sour vinous chocolate, medium roast malt, sour fruit infected flavors

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Super foamy with rocky head on a Baltic black body. Very clean, almost antiseptic, quality to the aroma. Deep clean roast, and some salty sea breeze. Body is oil thick and some gritty deep roast, with touches of charcoal, and unsweetened chocolate. Lacks the complex caramel and Special B notes of a well-aged Baltic Porter. Not bad, but more of a Imperial/Foreign Import Stout.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
473ml can pours almost black in color with a finger of light tan head which leaves some decent lacing as it settles. Aroma is roasted grains with some hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is a dark chocolate malty sweetness with a roasted grain and coffee bitterness. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Labeled as an imperial porter on the can, this brew does not quite live up to the expectations of the style. A little too thin in the body and on the palate.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
16 oz can. Pours a very dark brown with a minimal tan head with no lacing. Smells sour with light roasted and coffee notes. Tastes the same as it smells. Mouthfeel is pretty boring for a imperial porter. This was pretty dissapointing. I remember liking wingman at the beer festivals but with a little tweaking to the recipe and the beer will be better.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can shared by Dogbrick at Septoberfest V: Septoberfest Rises on 9/29/12. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate and bloody band-aids. Malty flavor with dark chocolate and a twinge of sourness on the finish.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
This brew pours a dark brown color with a medium thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of vinegar and roasted malt. Medium body with flavors of soy sauce, tart fruit and malt. Maybe a bit of hops in the background but they are masked. The finish is overripe fruit and vinegar. If this were in a bottle I would wonder if it was lightstruck or otherwise compromised, but being a can it is hard to tell what the explanation is for it tasting like it does.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Overall a disappointing beer. Looked good in the glass but poured flat with no head. Smelled very muted with no discern able notes. Tasted burnt with tannic overtones. Did NOT finish the beer.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can: Deep dark brown, nearly black, thin sudsy light beige head, dies very quickly leaving little lacing. Roasty nose, slight chocolate. Whoa, tart, bordering on sour on the tongue. Has a dark pitted fruit like sourness that is not what a Porter should be, nor any beer for that matter. Only sat on this for two months... something is wrong. Deserves a rerate, perhaps if I can find it on draught. Otherwise, seems infected.   The roastiness is there, and the chocolate, but the sourness is not what this should be.   Its like a London style Porter that went off the deep end.   Rerate needed.
