Poured a light. clear golden with a small, frothy white head. Aroma of light grassy hops and sweet grain. Light body, fairly easy to slip down session beer.

Bright yellow. White head. Aroma of a pale lager. Flavor of pale malts and nothing.

Bottle. Light straw and bitterhop aroma. Pale golden, rocky white lace. Medium to light body. Well balanced light beer.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Schöne Blume, prächtige Farbe und viele kleine CO2 Bläschen. Der Antrunk ist ziemlich herb und sehr hopfenbetont. Das macht das Bier sehr spritzig, aber durch die meiner Meinung nach extrem hohe Rezenz leidet die Süffigkeit. Im Mittelteil kommt die Herbe noch mehr zum Vorschein, vor allem im Nachgeschmack. An und für sich ist das 1617 Lager ein gutes Erfrischendes Bier, aber für meinen Geschmack zu sehr mit Hopfen vollgestopft.

It’s golden with a creamy, white head, and the aroma has notes of grass, straw and malt, and the same notes are found in the moderately sweet, and not very inspiring flavour, that has a slightly dry and bitter finish.

Bottle. Golden, average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light grassy hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint hoppyness. Finish is short, malty and lightly sweetish. Light bodied lager, that’s it.

Bottled (from mein-biershop.de). Yellowish golden colour, small head. Aroma is grains, rubber and some mild herbs. Flavour is malts, maize, some starch as well as some mild grainy notes.

Bottle, 4.5%. Grass and hay aroma, slightly citric. Clear yellow colour. Big stable bubbly white head. The flavour is clean, has some malt. Perhaps a hint of paper, but nothing to worry about. Distinct bitterness, but only slightly rough. Not bad.

Clear light yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, grain, hay, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Bitternes is acrid metalic bitter. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20090626]

Bottle: Golden, lazy carbonation, almost no head; light to moderate sweetish-strawy nose with delicate hoppy influences; mild sweetish flavour, light bodied as well; shy hoppy traces in the sweetish finish. Very monotonous brew.........
