bottle, enjoyed with mowbeer. hazy yellow with a lingering head; aroma of vanilla cheesecake; hints of earthy spice and a light wheatgerm sourness; pretty standard for the style

TEJA (1618) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 19, 2011
Draught at their brewpub in Berching. Clowdy color as aplejuice and a beige head. Nice bananas and also some cloves. The taste has bananas and some sweetness that gives a medium body. The bitterness is almost not detectable. Compared to their light Weissen this is not as good with its bigger body makes it less of a thirst quencher.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with tiny impurities and a dense and lacing white head. Sweet banana and yeast in the nose. Medium body, banana, cloves and some tart citrus - and yeast. Phenols appear in the finish. 161010

Bottle, 5.2%. Spicy wheaty aroma. Hazy yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is also quite spicy, refreshing. A bit too mild.

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Golden, slowly collapsing medium-sized head, fruity, lemony nose with a wheaty background and a touch of bananas and cloves; light to moderate sweet-sourish (almost with a light bitterness !) flavour; sweetish-sourish finish with a tinge of tartness in the short aftertaste. Not bad, but not world-shaking........

(bottle) Hazy, orange colour with a big and dense foamy white head. Slightly yeasty, moderately sweet wheaty and grainy nose with banana and light citrus notes, also strong phenols (band aid, cloves). Light sweet flavour with a whiff of acidity, light to medium bodied with a mellow mouthfeel. Yeasty and malty taste with a moderate wheat-character; sweet and minimal-tart fruity finish but fairly well-embedded phenols. Okay.

When first poured it was virtually orange in colour. When I poured the remainder of the bottle it became quite cloudy.Quite large pieces of yeast floated around which wasn’t very appetizing although I know to expect it with this style. It wasn’t a bad drink with a pleasant citrus edge to it.The wheat flavours remaioned in the background and not dominating as they sometimes do. But those chunks of yeast did put me of.
