Winkler Bräu from Langenfeld: Kupfer Spezial.
Color is dark red-brown: kupfer means "copper," so it’s dark red copper. Aroma is malt, Münchner malt, only with some German hops. Flavor is very very malty, Pilner, Müchner malts, quite sweet, not super sweet, but quite sweet nonetheless. I taste hop bitterness in the back but it’s like they used just enough to not allow the sweetness overwhelm. Overall, very balanced, Goldilocks in mouthfeel, not too thick or thin. I like it, especially the sweetness of the malts. I wouldn’t travel to drink this beer, but if it were in a supermarket, I’d pick it up often.

Bottle. Dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel and bread. FLavour is malt, caramel, bread, little over carbonated, hop, medium bitter and a little sweet.

Das Kupfer Spezial beginnt wie ein typ. Dunkel, um dann umzuschlagen in ein veritables Rauchbier, d.h. ziemlich rauchig nach Kate und Kassler. Insgesamt ziemlich sperrig und unausgewogen, wenn auch nicht schlecht. Die súffige Bierbesonderheit ist auf jeden Fall der Probe wert!

Copper colour with medium beige head. Aroma is tosted and malty, with well balanced mild malty taste and flavor of caramel.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Nutty and toasted notes. Light sweet and mpoderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de. 10.000 Tasting @ Home. Pours ruby amber with a small white head. Caramel, bread and grain. Mild and sweet. Very smooth. Short end.
