I’m just not a fan of the buttery, caremelly butterscotch hops flavor that this beer has. Makes it hard to finish this 500ml bottle.

Personal favourite from the Winster Valley, had this at the brown horse, light golden amber in colour, good all round balance with a tangy fruit undertone

worldbeertaste (1596) - AUSTRIA - AUG 12, 2012
Medium amber orange with a frothy lacy somewhat lasting white head. Smells of leaves, citrus (orange) with a sweet malt caramel. Medium thin body. Nice sweet caramel malt overall taste, light fruity berry with a chewy biscuit dry bitter finish. Overall nice solid caramel malt taste well balanced with the hop finish.

Wainwrights’. Deep gold brown. Tight long lasting head. Little aroma. Slight malty sweetness, but mostly dry, with modest bitterness. Much of a muchness with many bitters.

On cask, gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, 07.05.11 Pours mid amber with some big white bubbles, there is a slight haze to this beer. Lightly malty, touch of sweetness some honey and biscuit on the nose, not an awful lot to describe in the mouth but pleasant nonetheless. A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask Stillage from the Outside Marquee at Nottingham Castle, Nottingham 15/10/2010 Hoppy aroma. Small white head. Golden coloured and hoppy with a berry fruit flavour. A hint of dryness in a bitter malt finish.

Cask@Criterion, Leicester. Black beer with a mildly roasted aroma. The flavour is rich and weakly roasted. Overall a palatable mildly roasted beer.
