750ml bottle. Bottle #504 of 1400. Poured a dark brown with an off white head. Aromas of wood/oak, lighter bourbon, molasses, chocolate, and some roast. Tastes of bourbon, vanilla, wood, some dark fruits, chocolate, and burnt caramel. Alcohol content overall well hidden.

750 thanks to Bob. Nice dark pour. Bit of molasses. Creamy. Some bourbon. Not a lot of bourbon in nose or taste. Bit of chocolate as well. Nice. I should let it warm up a bit.

25.4 oz bottle. Black brown, kicks up a big tan head with a brisk pour. Nose is bourbon, oak, cocoa and molasses; hints of licorice. Silky and coating with a tang and a tingle, getting hot. Just the right amount of bourbon in the taste playing nicely off the other components instead of as an accent or enhancement. Bittersweet chocolate and Cuban espresso with mild smoke, plum and juniper. Leaning toward an Old Ale.

bottle 1087 out of 1400...sidney crosby sucks my hairy balls. Pours pitch black with a medium tan head. aroma has caramel, burnt toffee, and dark fruit. flavor follows suit and adds burnt bitterness, molasses and vanilla...very mild bourbon. mouthfeel is medium with a nice warming dark fruit/roasted bourbon finish.

750ml bottle: pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a stringy-lacing off-white head. Has a sweet dark caramel malty nose with some dark chocolate and bourbon vanilla oak. Starts with pretty good fullness and effervescence with toasted dark caramel and toffee notes with some coconut and dark chocolate vanilla before a slightly drier bittersweet dark chocolate finish. Pretty true to style, but could use some time to mellow out.

750 capped bottles from Capone’s. Smith’s, and Craft Ale. Pours dark brownish black with minimal fizzy tan head. Nose is oaky bourbon, molasses, cacao, blackberry. Tastes of charred oaky bourbon, vanilla, cacao, molasses, and blackberry. Finishes complex and with more blackberry and oaky bourbon.

Draft at Eulogy. Snifter. Opaque pour with a good tan head. Pleasant dark Bourbon aroma. Nice stout flavors. Burnt marshmallows. Semi-sweet chocolate. Greek coffee. Vinyl. Nice Bourbon barrel notes. Medium-thick body. Feels like a decent Imperial Stout. Easily the best from Evolution that I have had so far.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2013 Draft sample at brewery..description is spot on..only had a bit but this offering is stellar, extremely smooth, combination of flavors and aromas are sublime..very well done barrel offering..looking to land a few of these and see how they should get even better with age...thoughts confirmed after a larger pour..excellent..
