COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Winter rental black lager is inspired by the German schwarzbier - a hearty, yet soft and elegeant brew that brings comofort to the late fall and winter months. Deep in color and flavor, you’ll savor winter rental’s subdued, up-front hop taste, delicious malty middle and balanced finish.

Brown, medium bodied chocolate malt , light bitterness. Decent Schwarzbier, a bit light for a Winter beer. Most impressed that Genesee can contract brew a decent Schwarzbier.

On tap @ Applebee's Forked River. Pours a chestnut brown color with thin tan head. Aroma is grainy with some mild roasted malt. Taste is sweet dark caramel malt, mild coffee, light chocolate with a bit of spicy hops.

Not a great winter ale. Lacking in any type of taste, this beer by East Coast Beer Co. doesn’t bring that cinnamon flavor you expect with a winter seasonal.

Bottle from Capone’s. Mahogany pour with minimal head. Nose is roasty vienna malt. Tastes roasty and virenna malty, with hopcitrus, earthy toffee, an overall semi-dryness, and some late nuts, just like your sister when she stays at the bat all night.

Bottle. Nose of roast and a little chocolate, sweet with subtle berries and lightly tart, touch of stale air. Coke pour with a foamy tannish head. Taste actually somewhat dry down with middle with sweeter wings, does imitate authentic German Schwarzbiere capably, with its airy, broad roast, mostly non-offensive with light ash but no bitterness. Crisp light-medium body a shade closer to watery at times, but again, pretty appropriate to what they’re going for. I’m content.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz brow bottle this beer poured a black color with a large foamy dark tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was cola, licorice and touches of wood and cherry. The flavor was sweet, tangy and malty with notes of molasses, toffee, cola, cherry and nut and a somewhat vegetal undertone. Medium length malty finish with lingering molasses, cola and cherry. Medium body. Ok.

On tap Black body a bit sweet and malty taste. A little dry but pleasant. A good random selection I found at Smokey's. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle poured a brown color with a small amount of head. Light sweet malty flavor with a lingering syrupy finish.

I think this has a nice sassafrass root flavor with a touch of licorice and cocoa in a nicely balanced malt backbone. some frothy and stingy carbonation and a bit of peppery and citrus hop that has some ivy and pine in it. been done before and always good. a little slick and slippery in the body for dimension. i like this just cooler than room temperature to bring out the flavors. you can even get them straight from the bottle. good beer.

Uggh! Smells good, looks good, tastes like you’re stuck in the snow!! What off taste, nasty ass yeast is this made with? Sour trying to be hidden behind a smokescreen of weird grain and odd hops. Fizzy. Badly fizzy. Avoid.
