Commercial Description:
A lovely summer beer in the same line as the Belgian wheat beers - but with buckwheat instead of wheat. It has flavours of both fruit and spice. A beer doesn't get more refreshing than this.

Sampled draught at Dansk Ølfestival.
Pale yellow, really cloudy. Rich aroma of bubblegum, orange and tobacco. Sweet, mild and fruity with light, rounded body. Both refreshing and interesting.

Tap, DBF 2004. Hazy lemon gold, moderate white head and gentle condition. Good spicy nose with some corriander, grain and pleasant esters. Sweet spice and bananas in the mouth with some background graininess. Good sweet finish with a suggestion of honey. Kind of a hefewitzen.

Tab @ Københavnske Øldage 2004. Hazy light golden color. Fresh, spycy and fruity in aroma and taste so with a sweetnes. There’s only a hint of the wheat. A summer beer, to enjoy on a hot danish summerday...

Bottle. Big citrus aroma with a light nutty note underneath. Cloudy yellow, big white head. Citric wit notes, buckwheat is hard to make out, there is still a nutty edge though, light dust retronasal. Lightbodied but chewy enough. Fresh and pleasant.
