COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bushwhacker is an American Ale, and who should know better than "Mrs. WinterCoat"? The color is red amber, and the delicate maltiness of this beer harmonizes perfectly with the typical citrussy freshness of Cascade hops. Right from the start, Niels Jørn decided this beer was "a keeper".

Big beige head. Clear deep reddish brown body with light carbonation. Resiny floral pine needle aroma with dusty malty notes. Dry-sweet resiny grape and roasty malts taste with herbal mineraly notes. Mid-bodied. Dry mineraly wooden aftertaste with resiny floral notes. Good and unusual, but not 100% successful. (0.5l bottle, Salling, Århus.)

On tap at Copenhagen Oldage on 20 May 2006 (noted at 5.8%). Coppery amber colour. A bit cloudy. Strong pine aroma. Quite hoppy and sharp on the palate. Some of the WinterCoat beers I’d previously tried were influenced by UK styles but the inspiration for this one clearly comes from the other side of the pond. Pretty tasty.

Hazy amber color, small white head. Cat piss hoppy, a bit buttery, slightly diacetylic, grassy aroma. Buttery, cut grass hoppy flavor. Despite of its appearance ... almost like a pils!

bottle from allerød vinandel, ar: dark fruits, roasted something, aged beer. looks great - clear orange/dark yellow, with nice head. flavor is more roasted something, roast dominates more than in the aroma, bitterness is quite bitter, not the usual pine/hoppy bitternes. overall a very nice "red" beer, hard to classify.
