Thick fine-laced lighter brown head. Distinct roasted sharp oilyness. Deep roasted coffee aroma. Intese roasted flavours with gentle hop flavours that turns into a rich and clean chocolate flavour. Intense chocolate aftertaste. One of the better imperial stouts I’ve tried. larsga (2959), Oslo, Norway

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2006 Courtesy of Papsoe. 16.9 oz bottle. Lightly smoked, toasted/burnt malts with chocolate and cooked blueberries in the aroma. The body is a deep black and holds a finger thick compressed mocha head. Almost Rauchbier smokey as if it has peat added to it. Low key chcolate notes and a pronounced burnt bitterness through the middle. Mild dark fruit notes. More smokey flavors in the finish. That smokiness just isn’t my thing. Decent mouthfeel, but not quite right for an Imperial. onystrom (785), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark
