Commercial Description:
Cockney Imperial Stout was born at the request of Mike Wilson, publican and proprietor of Cockney Pub in Århus. Mike talked Niels Jørn into brewing a whole batch of a rich, dark, very strong stout exclusively for his pub. The stout went like wildfire, and 800 litres were sold from a single tap in the small pub in just 5 weeks! Rumors of this amazing stout spread to the rest of the country, convincing Niels that this smooth, black beer should be a constant in the WinterCoat selection. It, like many of WinterCoat's strong beers, goes down deceivingly smoothly.

Cockney Pub, Aarhus, DK. On tap. Excellent stout with malt sweetness to compliment the roasted and chocolate flavors. Solid bitterness and a hint of smoke

On draught on its native place at The Cockney Pub in Århus. So smooth and round that I have to state that this beer is a must on tap.

This must be the best imperial stout the I have ever tried, and, furthermore, I like the story telling that this beer was produced for a local bar in the city of Århus. Nice taste - aroma and flavor are fantastic. The only negative thing is that the head - that smells so f’cking good - disappears quiet rapidly.

Draught at Ølbaren. Nice pitch black colour with a light brown dense head. Smokey aroma with coffee notes. Flavor is sweet with some chocolate and licorice. Good creamy mouthfeel.

Black coloured with brown head. Complex aroma of fruits, coffee and chocolate. Very smooth and tasty with plenty of roastiness in the finish. Full bodied. A very nice brew.

Draught @ Ølbaren: Pitch black coloured. Medium sized brown head. Dense. Impressive. Smoke, malt, light coffee and some medicine like aromas. Flavour is roasted and coffeish as well. Is nicely bitter in the end. Delicious beer.

Draft @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Nice and roasty nose, some chocolate can be detected along with a nice nuttyness. Almost black body, has a nice ruby tint, a beautiful medium dark tan head sit on top. Tha flavor is soft and has a mild roast, very smooth flavor, ends on a bitter (and nutty) note. Very nice beer. Nice to see danish brewers brewing big beers like this.
