wickedpete (523), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Apr 27, 2008 Thick haze in the light tan body. A steady frothy layer of white head persists on top and creamy lace lines the glass. Strong lemon citrus aroma with sweet, thick caramel, along with fresh hops. Citrusy flavor, bitter, lots of grainy malt, a fresh hoppy backbone shows itself in the finish. Full body, tingly mouthfeel, and completely unnoticeable alcohol. Quite nice
mjs (458), Finland Jul 31, 2008 (Bottle at SOPP2008) Pale amber. Small white head. Hops and alcohol in nose. Full dry and alcoholic palate. Salty liquorice, hops, alcohol and sweetness in taste. Bitterness hits surprisingly lightly. Archibaldo de la Cruz (41), Finland Jul 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a amber colour with a small head. Fruity aroma with notes of hops. The flavour is quite lemony, hoppy, sweet and a bit malty. Medium-bodied palate, bitter aftertaste. Well-balanced, interesting beer. mdm46410 (529), Griffith, Indiana, USA Jul 12, 2008 On tap at Three Floyds and served in a half-pint glass. This IPA poured a golden amber with a light haze and a thin head of slowly fading beige bubbles. Decent lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of fresh oranges, grapefruit, peach, and some sweet, fruity esthers. The flavor was also quite fruity and citrusy. A nice caramel malt backbone held things together. The mouthfeel was full-bodied and smooth with light carbonation. Good, but I would have prefered a little more bite. sayravai (3033), Helsinki, Finland Jul 3, 2008 (Bottled) Slightly hazy golden with a small head. Sweetish-malty, slightly vegetably aroma with lemony hops and hints of alcohol. Very lemony-flowery-hoppy, grainy-malty, quite crisp flavor with dandelions and buttery maltiness. Medium to full-bodied palate with medium carbonation. Hides the ABV completely. An interesting, different, saisony sample of the double IPA style. JorisPPattyn (4258), Antwerpen, Belgium Jun 25, 2008 Hazy orange amber; minimum head. Oranges, kumquat and biscuit, as well as sweet-ish and cheesy (running cheese). Again very cheesy taste, with a small bitterish vector - nettle cheese? Mouthfeel is more carbonated than visually suggested; medium bodied at best. not as hoppy as expected, but probably served a bit too warm.
