Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 24, 2004 [Cask at Gullivers, Copenhagen] The aroma is sweet hoppy with grassy notes - very fresh. The color is orange and it has a fine dense head - especially considering, that this is a cask beer. The flavor is sweet with notes of oranges, yeast, peach, hops, and grass with a slight note of alcohol running over the tongue. All in all a great flavor with a very smooth mouthfeel - maybe the later is because of this being the cask version. Even though this beer is hoppy, it is not bitter enough for an IPA! omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden May 17, 2004 Updated: Aug 10, 2004Sampled cask conditioned at Dansk Ølfestival.
Cloudy orange. Intense flowery, hoppy nose - you can tell it’s been dry hopped. Soft and full bodied. Rich. Notes of licorice. Bitter finish. Complex hoppiness American style, combined with British style malt excellence. Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 20, 2005 Updated: Mar 2, 2007(On tap) Clear, fully golden with a thin head. Nice, full body and a lot of freshness. Comes with the typical Wintercoat touch of acidity. A nice beer, but not your typical IPA. 100904 Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 16, 2004 Golden colour with some haze. Phenolic aroma with some piney hop. Fruity nose. Soft and sweet, with fruity flavours. Not sure I’d call this stylistically accurate. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 16, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a dense white head. Grapefruity aroma with a vague maltbase beneath. Slight grainy flavour dominated by grapefruit flavours blending in with a minor sweet malt base. Ends decent bitter to dry into the finish.
