fiulijn (5695), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jul 12, 2008 Cask gravity at Ølfestival 2008, Århus It’s flat. It has strong caramel and chocolate aroma and flavor, some sweetness, pleasant smokeyness. There is enough complexity. If it was not for the lack of carbonation… fonefan (4045), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 4, 2008 Cask @ Ølfestival Aarhus 2008. Dark brown color with a virtually none apparance, virtually none lancing, fully diminishing, head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, licorice , cough mixture. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (160508) yngwie (3322), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 1, 2008 Cask at Århus Ølfestival. A semi-clear, dark brown beer with a minimal beige to tan head. More a layer of bubbles than a real head actually. It has a heavy aroma, sugary sweet, and roasted, with some alcohol, as well as dried fruits. The aromas seems to be released one at a time. The flavor is sweet, with alcohol, roasted malt, some fresh and dried fruits and coffee. Warming, full-bodied, almost sticky mouthfeel. Long, sweet finish, almost sugary, with dried fruits. A lovely, warming and complex beer. I would like a bit more coffee flavor, but it’s nice as it is too. (080516) skortila (2355), Bunnik, Netherlands Jun 30, 2008 Cask @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Aroma has some wood/oak, wine and chocolate. Clear, dark brown coloured, no head. Taste is sweet, dark roasted, malty with chocolate and oak. Okay. MiP (4744), Flensburg, Germany Jun 6, 2008 Draught at ÅBF08. Vinous aroma. Almost clear almost black colour. No head. Grainy roasted barley bitterness. Along with some vinous and creamy sweetness, it is OK.
