50 cl bottle. Dark amber brown body with off-white head. Flavour is malt, smoke and hops.

Dark amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of smoke and roasted malt. a flavor of oak, smoked, spice, tar and dry.

Bottle. Lovely beer. Dark brown with white head. Aroma, malt, oak and this typical wintercoat aroma. Taste malt, bread, oak. A typical and distinctive wintercoat beer.

bottle, best bf may 2008, tasted july 2008. aroma : bread, caramel, nuts, smoked notes. dark brown with vanilla head, flavor same as aroma, smoked notes showing a bit more. mouthfeel a bit foamy/soapy - but then it is past its best before date. aftertaste is a nice smoked nuts and caramel thing. i like this one a lot. Wonder how it would’ve been if it was a bit fresher. although past its best before date, no hints at all of aged beer taste and no alc. yet another good one from wintercoat

Bottle 50cl.
Clear medium amber brown color with a average, frothy, fair lancing, fully diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, celler, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, light notes of smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (170508)

Cask @ Valhal. Hazy amber with large fluffy head. Aroma has liquerice, sweet malt and caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with turf, hay, tar and smoke. Ends mild bitter.

From cask, at Den årlige ølsmagning i Valhal. Pours amber to orange with a dense orange/tan head. Caramel and light butterish aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Slight smoked, smooth caramel malt and a mild bitterness. Ends with a lingering caramel malt note and a mild bitterness.

Comments: This was served from the cask. It felt rather dull though, one-dimensional sweetness with barely fruity caramel while the hops procure a timid bitterness without the matching aromas.

Bottle. Red/Brown colour with large creamy off-white mostly lasting head. Malty aroma with notes of caramel. Sweet flavor with notes of licorice.
