WinterCoat Vildmoseøl

A deep dark red beer with a huge, but collapsing brown head. The aroma is quite sweet and malt with strong notes of sweet berries, like a good jam, but also with lighter notes of smoke from peat. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of herbs, spices, red berries, and peat smoked malt, leading to a more dry than bitter end, with a bit of acidity from the roasted malt. A really nice beer.

[Cask at Købehavnske Øldage] Cloudy pale brown. Distinctly smokey nose. Rowanberries are evident. Sweetish and fruity. Some banana and sahti-like qualities. Low bitterness. Unusual.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, dark amber with a creamy, beige head leaving some laces. Distinct aroma of peat smoke. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt notes, some lightly licorice-like spicyness and then again this very distinct, peaty smoke. The finish is more dry than really bitter. A very unusual beer. 180207

CBF07 sample from tap. Pours amber. Aroma is malty, not too sweet, slight spiced. Flavour is malty and berries beneath a good smoke profile. Finish is dry malty.

Bottle. Hazy red brown coloured with a white head. Aroma of fruits, berries and caramel with notes of smoke. Flavour of berries and fruits with notes of smoke.
