COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Don't try to pronounce this one without at least one under your belt! This beer was brewed for the Lille Vildmose nature center in northern Jutland. The area is characterised by peat bogs, which inspired this brown ale with its subtle notes of peat-smoked malt, the fresh, spiciness of bog myrtle and the bittersweet fruitiness of rowan berries. These 3 ingredients harmonise beautifully with the other malts and hops used. A wonderful beer to drink with game and lamb - and it does justice to pickled herring as well!

Good beer but a little too spicy from the sweet gale or smoke. Why is there a boar on the label? and why is it called the Vildmose beer, it’s because of the 2 cm boggy sediments at the bottom?

Deep ruby color, small steady beige head. Caramelly and Christmas scipey clove aroma.Medium-bodied. Combination of peaty smoke, clove (spices) and tartness. It is as bad as it sounds. Lingering wet smokeyness in the aftertaste.

Capped 750 from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Thanks to osu97gp for the gush warning. I cracked the cap a bit and had to let it drip in the glass for quite awhile. Only lost a couple drops. Pours hazy dark amber/brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is sort of mild bacon. Med minus body. Flavor is sort of smoked something with mild fruit and medium spice. I’m wondering why it isn’t under gruit, but I guess rules are rules. Interesting drink. It gets better with a little passing of time. Interesting drink. Oops. Well it is.

This beer basically exploded all over my table, laptop, and carpet. Pours a deep reddish brown with a large tan head. Aroma is of berries and very light smoke. Flavor of smoke, malts, fruit, and rubber. Interesting beer.

(Tap 15/06-2011) Unclear brown color (mosevandsfarve), odd smoked taste. Guess that fits the description of the beer.
