Commercial Description:
Don't try to pronounce this one without at least one under your belt! This beer was brewed for the Lille Vildmose nature center in northern Jutland. The area is characterised by peat bogs, which inspired this brown ale with its subtle notes of peat-smoked malt, the fresh, spiciness of bog myrtle and the bittersweet fruitiness of rowan berries. These 3 ingredients harmonise beautifully with the other malts and hops used. A wonderful beer to drink with game and lamb - and it does justice to pickled herring as well!

Draught @ the Brewpub. Nice big fizzy off-white color head. Color was amber. Fair lacing. Aroma was light notes of smoke, berries, caramel, fruits and sweet floral. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Flavor was predominantly light sweet, with notes of bitterness. Very drinkable.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, dark amber with a creamy, beige head leaving some laces. Distinct aroma of peat smoke. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt notes, some lightly licorice-like spicyness and then again this very distinct, peaty smoke. The finish is more dry than really bitter. A very unusual beer. 180207

50 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Cloudy brown colour with a weak head. Aroma of berries, smoke, malt and little spicy. Very speciel flavour of rowan berries and smoke, someway a bit too speciel for me, but goes very well with wild meals. Not bad at all, just speciel.

Draught. Hazy re-brown colour with a medium light brownish head. Aroma is sweet with berries, some smokiness. Flavour is sweet with lots of bog myrtle, spices and herbs and some smoked malts. Not so good a taste.

A deep dark red beer with a huge, but collapsing brown head. The aroma is quite sweet and malt with strong notes of sweet berries, like a good jam, but also with lighter notes of smoke from peat. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of herbs, spices, red berries, and peat smoked malt, leading to a more dry than bitter end, with a bit of acidity from the roasted malt. A really nice beer.

Dark hazy orange-brown with a good firm head. Aroma is mild with a spicy and slightly vinious edge to it. Some flowery hops in there as well. Very well balanced.
