Bottled@Chriso "Donkey Dork Lord" shindig 2011. Dark murky brown colour with a mediumsized beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, mild alcohol, some toasted notes as well as mild yeastyness. Flavour is rather similar, but the alcohol burns rather much.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
75cl bottle. This is dark brown with almost no head. Nose : dried fruits, toffee, malaga, chocolate. Some alcohol. Chocolate tart, brownie. Sip : almost no carbonation , medium body with oily texture. Sweet with alcohol notes reminding good whiskey. Toffee transmission into chocolate, dried fruit like raisins and plums and still some alcohol to warm. The taste is really rich with a base of chocolate, whiskey, toffee, burned caramel, dried fruits but the combination is spectacular and really tasty. I wonder what would happen if it was aged in oak barrels. Really good brew. Delicious.

0.75l bottle shared with BelgBeerGeek @ Kulminator. This one is a hard to see through- amlost impossible actually and itís colored near black with a medium sized and lacing beige head. The aroma has sweetness, chocolate paper, dark malts, syrup and fruity blackberries. All in all quite a complex and really nice aroma. Hard for me to tell what genre this beer is classified as but itís definitely really really tasty! Packed with sweetness without being sweet, dark, hazelnutty and malty, boozy dipped biscuits with sugar on top and raisins on the side. This was an extreme tasty brew. Thanks for the tip Vincent! 02.06.2012

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
At the Kulminator, compliments of BelgBeerGeek.
Pours almost black, with a thick off white head leaving a lot of lacing on the glass.
The aroma is sweet & nutty with a nice roastiness, and lots of complex spicy character.
The flavor is malty and really not overly spicy at all, which is a surprise given the aroma. There is some nice bright fruit of pear and cherry to the flavor and the roastiness is moderate. Lots of maple like sweetness here, I imagine this would be a good one for the cellar.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap flight at Bavarian Lodge. Mahogany brown pour, almost black. Light brown head hangs around for a while but fades to a spotty version of its former self. Coffee bean aroma. Flavor is coffee liqueur like Kahlua or more appropriately Patron Cafe. Itís sweet coffee and booze. A little bit of hop presence is detected after another contemplative sip. This is not what I was expecting but good nonetheless.
