750 from Beer Revolution. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is malty, dark fruity chocolate with noticeable alcohol. Flavors of raisin, chocolate, and then a ton of treacle. Gets quite sweet, and very dark. Drinking a full bottle would likely be a struggle, but perhaps worth the effort.

bierkoning (8953) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - DEC 4, 2010
Corked bottle. Almost black. Dried fruit, malt, milk and some roast in the aroma. Full bodied. Thick mouthfeel. Sweet with raisin, dried fruit, sart tartness, roast. Dried tropical fruit in the aftertaste. Some brandy notes, other than that the alcohol is hardly noticed.

Koelschtrinker (8479) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011
9/13/10/13//12

Bottle as "Bink Grand Cru" at Birch & Barley. Nearly black, large dark brown head. Aroma is brandy and dark chocolate. Taste has a ton of roasted malts, very earthy and boozy. Would likely mellow with a year or two in the bottle.

330ml bottle (?, Helsinki)
7 Super sweet dark fruits - the full set. Raisins, figs, dates.
4 Dark, small head
6- Acetone retronasals - massive - ugh! Everything else is great, such a rich roast, hevy on the caramel.
3+ Sweet smooth palate. Finish more caramelly than acetone, thankfully. A touch of marmite.
10 Started so good, but headed downhill too quickly. Too gluey. But it was nice apart from that.

BMan1113VR (7379) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 17, 2011
Kerkom Bink Grand Cru 13%. Pours with a fading tan head over a deep brown body. Aroma is hugely boozy. Tons of alcohol, plums, vinous, chocolate covered raisins. Cloying. Flavors are super sweet. Cloying. Chocolate. Alcohol is lighter in the flavor than on the nose. Creamy carbonation with plenty of warmth.

JorisPPattyn (7306) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - APR 3, 2010
Very lively dark-beige head over very deep-dark brown beer, with a faint red sheen. Alcoholic nose with nuts and brandy; liquid fruit- or brandycake; cola. Pure liquorice and drop, initially; exaggerated, heated by alcohol. Retronasal again nuts and brandycake, sweetened milk. Vinous and alcoholic. Huge alcoholwarming. Rather well-carbonated for such a massive ale; viscous-slick. Strong and dark indeed. Well-crafted, technically. Not bad at all (for sipping). But as to original...
