750 from Beer Revolution. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is malty, dark fruity chocolate with noticeable alcohol. Flavors of raisin, chocolate, and then a ton of treacle. Gets quite sweet, and very dark. Drinking a full bottle would likely be a struggle, but perhaps worth the effort.

330ml bottle (?, Helsinki)
7 Super sweet dark fruits - the full set. Raisins, figs, dates.
4 Dark, small head
6- Acetone retronasals - massive - ugh! Everything else is great, such a rich roast, hevy on the caramel.
3+ Sweet smooth palate. Finish more caramelly than acetone, thankfully. A touch of marmite.
10 Started so good, but headed downhill too quickly. Too gluey. But it was nice apart from that.

Very lively dark-beige head over very deep-dark brown beer, with a faint red sheen. Alcoholic nose with nuts and brandy; liquid fruit- or brandycake; cola. Pure liquorice and drop, initially; exaggerated, heated by alcohol. Retronasal again nuts and brandycake, sweetened milk. Vinous and alcoholic. Huge alcoholwarming. Rather well-carbonated for such a massive ale; viscous-slick. Strong and dark indeed. Well-crafted, technically. Not bad at all (for sipping). But as to original...
