4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ooh, this is good. Pours very dark amber brown with minimal head. Aromas are roasty, dark dried fruits, raisins, like a good quadrupel but maybe a little fruitier than average. Flavors are really nice and constantly evolving. Starts with a pleasant roastiness and sweetness, into slight fruity notes and sourness, then a really long finish with a bit of bitter chocolate.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Raisin aroma and the booze almost pours up the nose. Rich red brown almost opaque. Thick on the tongue. Caramel that’s a little burnt and the raisin is now prune and rum in flavor. Glad it’s only an 8oz pour since you feel the bite. Tap

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750, corked, bailed, and foiled. Pours a heavy dark ebony with a loose and creamy dark tan head that goes away. Big smoky dark complex nose, lots of dark pitted tree fruit but in a fleshy way rather than a sweet way. Creamy thick body with soft carb. Smoky, fruity, slightly tangy mid palate, showing sweet campfire and some tangy fruit notes. Long earthy fruity finish. Very interesting.
