I wanted something really sweet that evening, and I’ve found something that satisfied me. Even the long bitter aftertaste made me crazy! ;-) Fruity and with a nice head.

Nice brown pour, tan head. Nice fruity nose, good yeast, sweet cake. Flavor is sweet, fruity, caramel, yeasty goodness.

My christmas beer no 27. 2012.Dark brown colour with beige head.Aroma of chocolate and dried fruits,sweet flavor with hint of yeast and spices and good warming mouthfeels and smooth finish.

On tap at Brewpub De Klep. Dark colour with a nice head. Aroma was sweet. A very pleasant taste on the palate with a very nice aftertaste. Would try again.

On tap at Moeder Original. Very deep black colour with thick white head. Malty character, full sweetish flavour (in retrospect can see the oat content in the texture), just a hint of some yeasty spice, a little boozy, just enough hop to cut and make it drinkable. A nice warming wintry beer.

This is a really tasty beer. A little natural subtle sweetness of cherry paired with more potent and bold flavors typical of a dubbel. The nose is not equally as strong and is its weakest link. The palate is multi-layered and very drying. This tops my list of enjoyable beers for flavor.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a malty spicy dark fruit and caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy dark fruit, chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a weak roasted malty spicy caramel finish.

The aroma is dark fruit, yeast, malts and an edge of the juniper berries. The flavor is very nutty malts, dark fruit and a mix of grain sweetness and tartness in the finish.

Caramel and toffee with a little whiff of alcohol aromas. Sweet toffee and caramel flavors. Good!
