COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beside the ‘Bloesem Bink’, you can also enjoy a second seasonal beer, the ‘Winterkoninkske’. This beer is, just like the others, unfiltered, not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. The ‘Winterkoninkske’ is the ideal beer to make a cold and chilly winter evening pleasant. The ingredients are: seven types of malt (among which rolled oats), two belgian types of hop, brewing liqour and yeast. Our winter beer is a dark and heartwarming beer with a pure, sugary flavour and a long, bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this heavy beer is 8,3 % vol.alc.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Bierkaffee ’t Middelpunt in Zolder. Likely vintage. Thx! Dark chestnut, woody, touch black with little mocha head. Nose is full of chocolate, dark fruits, BE yeast, touch syrup, hint esters, lovely & soft, everything you could possibly want. Taste is thick chocolate, lots of ripe & soft BE dark fruits, syrup, chocolate, cake, syrupy, caramel, warming, toffee, hint boozy even. Substantial but easy to drink. Truly impressive within & outside of its style, stellar brew.

Bottle - dark purplish red - label states it is brewed with juniper, and it sure is evident in the aroma and flavor - aroma is earthy juniper, raisin, plum, fig - fairly soft and full in the mouth - flavor is sweet, but with balancing bitterness and earthy juniper and twig/bark flavors - notes of licorice, plum, cinnamon - finish is fairly dry, with strong lingering licorice root flavors - nice cold weather beer.

Tiefdunkle Farbe, süßlich-dickflüssiger dunkler & leicht scharfer Geruch! Ganz leicht alkoholisch. --> trotzdem ein sehr leckeres Bier!! --> A 13 / Sü 12 / Ng 13 / Ges 13

Bardzo smaczne zimowe piwo, prawdziwe sezonowo warzone w zimie. Rozgrzewajaca nuta i alkoholowy finisz. W zapachu ciasteczka korzenne i gozdziki, troche cynamonu.

330 ML bottle Dark brown color, some ruby highlights. Collar of light brown film. Vigorous swirling got a half finger of head before settling back to collar. Slight lacing. Sweet nose. Sugar, plumb, aniseed, Stewed pear, stewed apple, some cranberry. Taste is just as sweet. Candied sugar, candied dark fruits, candied rolled oats in back of the taste. Sugar bomb. Good hop bite( candied peppermint) but overshadowed by the sugar. Medium feel, syrupy, low carbonation. Slight honey notes in the back of the palate. Finishes dry but sweet. Slow sipping winter beer over a fire. Man, I miss these beers.

A dark beer with little to no head. Quite effervescent which lightens the mouth feel of the beer. Aroma has dark dried fruits like prunes and raisins with some lighter fruity notes too. There is a clean finish and some alcoholic warmth. I probably served this too cold, would be better warmer in a tulip glass to really appreciate the aroma and flavour.

Deep brown, ruby highlights, tan head. Malty-sweet with toffee, bread crusts, figs, plumbs, juniper is on the light side, an earthy spiciness. Good winter warmer.
